
After US-based Walmart recalled the "Five Spice" donkey meat sold at
its stores in Jinan in eastern China's Shandong province in early
January, some insiders said that it showed the world's largest retailer
does not monitor its suppliers, reports Beijing's Securities Daily.
Walmart recalled the donkey meat — a popular snack in some parts of
China — after it was found to contain the cheaper priced fox meat.
